Agincourt Lodge

Nov 18, 2008

Date:- 01/Nov/2008 Reviewer:- Mr N Holmes Our stay at the Agincourt Lodge was for one night only but the welcome we recieved was excellent with a cup of tea in the dinning room accompanied by a nice slice of cake. The room had all the facilities you would expect and the en-suite was larger than average. The hosts made us feel... more

A sort of mini V & A, run by the County Council, it is very child friendly but with plenty for adults too. As an added bonus it is FREE! A kitchen full of drawers to open and cupboards to explore, a Discovery Room for the under 5's and a Victorian school room- numerous local primary schools come for this.... more

Chopsticks is a cheap all you can eat Chinese buffet restaurant, Unfortunately the food is terrible! Greasy, bland and inauthentic. Definitely a volume over quality establishment; coupled with unfriendly staff. more

Loxley Guest House

Nov 17, 2008

My sister & I had a surprisingly disturbing and disappointing experience at the Loxley Guest House recently. Being exactly equi-distance between our respective homes in Yorkshire & Dorset, this guest house appeared to be a perfect place for a weekend together which we had been really looking forward to. Invitingly, the website says: ‘on arrival you will receive a warm... more

Art Kitchen

Nov 16, 2008

The Art Kitchen pipes some very interesting music out onto the street. On a cold dark night in Warwick that can be quite inviting. My wife and I have walked by many times and enjoyed it. We've always said, "sometime we should try that restaurant." Tonight was the night. Too bad the restaurant wasn't as good as the music. The... more

I stayed at the Ardencote Manor on a spa break with 3 other friends. We had an absolutley amazing time, we were made to feel very welcome and special guests of the ardencote. We booked on a S Factor break which included a wonderful hot stone massage each. The hotel rooms we stayed in were in the newly built building,... more

Catalan

Nov 12, 2008

Interesting menu, excellent food, great value and in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether it's a quick tapas for lunch or a 3 course dinner, Catalan is a very good choice. We have taken a range of age-groups (from 20 to 60) and they have all enjoyed it. Recommended. more

Staying here was wonderful. We were only here for 2 nights, but we really could just come and go as we pleased. Mike and Marisa were helpful without being intrusive and the house was magnifient. I recommend Room 1 with lovely views over the gardens to Nicolas Park and a king size four poster! With spacious en suite. Very close... more

Loxley Guest House

Nov 12, 2008

My wife and I stayed at Loxley Guest House for 5 nights in Sept 08. The location is excellent, just a couple of miles outside Stratford and though it's on a main road, it's pretty quiet outside of rush hour. It had recently been refurbished so the rooms were clean, tidy, if on the small side for thhe money, and... more

I spent a very special, romantic night here with my man. The setting was perfect, located in beautiful country grounds, with the most quaint restaurant sitting on the banks of its own lake. Our room was located in a tasteful extension to the original hotel. It was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable and snug, and just how you want... more

A perfect place to stay! Mike and Marissa Warwick (of Warwick!) made my wife and I so welcome. The area has so many interesting places to visit (the castle is only a few minutes walk up the road) and this B&B is first class. The bedrooms are immaculate with excellent facilities and our four poster bed made us feel like... more

This is the second time we have stayed here and the first time was good but the hotel has been extended and enhanced with wonderful new spa facilities, certainly a treat for everyone. Warwick Castle

Nov 2, 2008

This was a woeful disappointment. From the ridiculous walk from the car park to the unhelpful staff, to the rubbish dungeon (singular) to the terrible reenactment of the War of the Roses, to the overpriced food and drink, to the queueing like cattle for EVERYTHING, to not being allowed to go on the battlements because of "Health and Safety" (it... more

Located in the quiet village of Loxley in the English countryside the B and B is close by car to Stratford and Warwick.
