We recently spent two nights at the Parke in order to visit with family. It is a new hotel and everything is very clean and fresh and they have some of the fluffiest bath towels. An old firehouse turned into a restaurant. Great for a business lunch with good food. If you are in a hurry you need to tell the staff so you can get in & out. But if you have a little time this is a really great place to eat in Bloomington. more

It's a smokehouse. You go for the smoked meats. I've found it is largely a lunch/noon crowd. We get carryout and also eat there. Excellent brisket. Staff always very efficient and friendly. If you want to pay for "ambience" and a lot of hype, then go to Famous Dave's. more

It could have been the night we went (Monday), but the sushi was not very fresh at Hayashi. Prices were cheap for sushi, compared to sushi restaurants in other cities, and portions were big. However, for me, freshness of the fish is the most important thing. The cooked dishes looked good, but we only had sushi. more
