No words can summarize the beauty of the Grand Canyon. Every American owes it to themselves to see this place. I am not a "desert" person, in fact, I hate the desert, but this place is humbling, stunning, utterly beautiful. It's vastness is indescribable. Stayed to see the sun setting over the canyon...moved me to tears. Truly one of the... more

What can I possibly say to share with any of you the beauty, the majesty of it all? It is mind-boggling! You just have to experience it for yourselves. We had a limited amount of time in the park but it was nice. You can take a free shuttle to get you where you want to go & cut down... more

We drove from Las Vegas to the Indian side of the canyon. The drive was over an hour and there wasn't much notice (one sign at the turn off) and then a lot of dirt roads. If you plan on doing this drive, get GPS! Once at the site, there is a $20 parking fee. Then the $30 bus tour.... more

This was simply a horrible experience. If the ride on that 14 mile dirt road wasn't tramatizing enough, when we arrived at the Canyon we had to pay $20.00 to park and couldn't see/walk anything for free. Once there you have to spend an additional $30.00 for bus tour or big bucks for a helicopter/boat tour. I found the people... more

I gave my wife a trip to the Grand Canyon via Las Vegas for our 30th anniversary. We really wanted to go to the South rim since it is supposed to be the "Grandest". Because we did not want to do it in two days we decided to fly out of Vegas. We booked a trip for three (wife and... more

My wife and I visited the Grand Canyon for the first time on 5/25/08. Through research and common sense, we decided to get there early, being Memorial Day weekend. It was simply amazing. I kept taking pictures to try and capture the views, but I just couldn't. This really is something that has to be seen with the naked eye.... more

This really is one of those places you have to visit in your lifetime, but I was not as blown away as I had expected. It is very important to plan ahead and spend at least a few days here. Make sure you organize a hike, or book guided excursions (I would imagine the mule ride is a blast) well... more

It's known as one of the world's greatest sites for a reason. Words and certainly photographs don't do justice for this amazing national park. I went in August, 2007 perhaps a but late for American families with school getting back in session for the children. The park was busy, but not overly crowded. Most of the visitors were from out... more

We drove from Alabama to Arizona. We decided to go off course and spend a day at the Grand Canyon. As we entered the national park our vehicle was overheating. We decided to pull over and enjoy some time while the car cooled down. After an hour we decided to continue on and drive through the whole park. The car... more

I'm not going to go on and on about the grandeur of it. It's worth seeing. We arrived on a Thursday, about noon, spent the afternoon checking it out. Then returned Friday morning, and spent all day. A day and half is about the right amount of time, I'd say two days max, for most visitors. Of course, if you... more
