My wife and I would spend almost every night of our two week stay walking the Golden zone, after dinner at one of many nice restaurants from which to choose. Everybody was friendly and more than helpful in the stores. The shopping area definitely have a much nicer feel than the Playa del Carmen areas and the Puerto Vallarta (PV).... more
The golden zone was nice. The people are very friendly, and stores are fun to walk through. The only thing i can say bad is the timeshare people are a little irritating but that is what they do and you have to expect that. We were there in January of 08 and was nice weather and walked the golden zone... more

Went to Mazatlan in the spring and I am going back for Christmas and New Years 2003.. There are some great spots in the golden Zone Shopping is great by Costa De Oro...
