The best way to experience the Falls! You do get a little wet, but thats the fun of it! There was no line up when we went. I believe you have to do this to appreciate the power and the size of the Falls. Yes you do fell the mist and the sound of the falls from above, but nothing... more

Without a doubt, the Maid of the Mist Steamboat ride has been and still is the most exciting tourist attraction at Niagara Falls since the mid-nineteenth century. The folks in charge run the venture like clockwork channeling passengers down ramps to the water's edge where they don blue raincoats and board the boats. It all goes pretty quickly and the... more

If you are going to Niagara you have to take time to ride The Maid of the Mist. There is no other way to see the Falls up close. It's absolutely amazing how close you come. The landing where you get your plastic raincoat coverup and wait in line to board the boat is very organized. The staff are friendly... more

This was our first visit to Niagra Falls, and the whole experience was much more than I expected. The town surrounding the falls is very interesting, albeit touristy, and it is fun to stroll around. The falls themselves are amazing. Going on the Maid of the Mist is a must-do in my book when at the falls. No other experience... more

It is when you enter the Horsehoe Falls, look above you and see the waterfalls as against the sky that you are both enveloped and dwarfed by the beauty and grandeur of Niagara Falls. Indeed, you'll get wet by the spray but for the experience, totally worth it. By the way, you won't get as wet as the Cave of... more

Yes, you get very wet, but that is what's so neat! I didn't even want to put up the hood, so I could feel the Niagara! When you get in the mist, it's hard to see anything; so feeling becomes very important. I loved it. Many ladies in line with their hair fixed just so dropped their jaws in horror... more

Get ready to get wet! The blue ponchos they give you are loose, so water gets on your glasses and hair. Shoes stay fairly dry, but I would reccomend comfy sneakers. Bring a waterproof camera, but beware, they charge 15 bucks for them at the boat's gift shop. Fairly crowded, but a great view of the falls. The whole trip... more

When you get to a point from where you can only see the falls all around (or rather you struggle to see anything), the narrator said, "Ladies & gentlemen, Welcome to the Niagara Falls". It was so true. The true feeling of being at the Falls is at this very moment when you feel how big it is. If you... more

Went on the Maid of the Mist today. Costs $14.00 per person. It was a nice experience seeing the Falls up close though didn't really think it was anything special. Once you have done it once, no need to do it again. I've been here in Niagara for two days now, cannot wait to return to Toronto tomorrow, for the... more

This was a great experience!! I think it is important to view the falls from above and below to get the full experience. Be ready to get SOAKED!!! My 10 year old LOVED it!!! So did my mother and I. I would recommend that you go the front on the right-side because the boat will turn the view Niagara Falls... more
