This is a great musuem, the building is beautiful, It gets crowded but easy to maneuver and not as overwhelming like the Louvre. We rented the audio cassettes in English and they were very easy to use. Went in the early am, had a baugette sandwich as we wanted in line but only waited about 15 minutes. Definitely a must... more

Wanted to go to this museum but the queue was enormous (midweek, June) - this may have been in part because of the poor weather that afternoon. Really disappointed that I wasn't more organised. I went to ask about buying tickets at the advance ticket office (separate door not far from the main entrance - entrance A) and a great... more

This museum is spacious and has escalators. If you have been to the Louvre, you will appreciate this simple luxury. There are many fine impressionist works here in addition to tons of sculpture. The map is easy to understand. The museum pass line is not as short as at some attractions. more

You need to allow at least a couple of hours here just to see the building alone! Walking around this converted railway station is just amazing. The conversion is fabulous and that is before you get to look at the art. Great exhibitions - a must do in Paris. Only draw back is minimal lift and ladies toilet facilities which... more

Musee d'Orsay is a great museum for impressionists paintings. It is much smaller than the Louvre which makes it a lot less overwealming. We are not big "museum" people so we actually enjoyed this museum much more. We were lucky enough to be in Paris the first Sunday of the month where most of the museums are free. I downloaded... more

Musee d'Orsay is everything wonderful that has been written and "then some". If you have the Museum Pass, visit the museum itself and if time allows, have lunch upstairs in their restaurant. The room is beautiful with it's murals, chandeliers, statues, etc and the food was pretty good too. With the Museum Pass, use it to return just for the... more

Come here. If you have even the slightest interest in impressionism, then this is the museum for you. It's also a bit different. The museum gets crowded, but not NEARLY as crowded as the Louvre. Even just getting the view through the clock is worth it. There is a lot to look at, especially if you like Van Gogh or... more

Everytime I visit this museum in Paris, its one I always go to, I agree it can be done in a day, but you will never bore of it as each time you view a painting, theres a different feel to it all. Also its not as overly populated like the Louve, so nice little stroll. more

Most people are familiar with Impressionist painting and this museum houses every single famous Impressionist painting you have ever seenturned into stationery, umbrellas, posters, notebooks, etc etc etc...... go early and tackle the Impressionist stuff first before it gets too crowded. Get the Museum pass and skip all the lines. Best part! more
