We loved Lido! My husband and I went there while staying in Venice and it was so beautiful! It felt like a resort island, and we just loved walking around it. My partner & I visited Venice in October 2007. We saved a fortune by staying in the Lido as opposed to the mainland Venice. This was fully justified since we were only about 15 mins away on the waterboat from the main attractions but still managed to escape from the extortionate hotel fares in the mainland.
