I,ve just returned from The Ocala National Forest after a two-day wekend trip with my wife and teenage daughters and son. We did the 7-mile canoeing run of Juniper Creek, while visiting Juniper Springs, and it was wonderful!!. I was really dismayed to see the other review on this site for Juniper Creek. I'm not an outdoorsy-type person and this was the first time canoeing me and my friend. The other review mentions "clean-up" of debris -this is a natural forest in the middle of Florida. The land is preserved and untouched - clean what mother nature intended??... more

It had rained for 5 days and the water was too high to get under trees. We had to get out and pull and push our canoe up on the ground around trees and roots three times. Because the water was high we capsized 4 times as we were unable to get over trees under the water so again we... more
