The Chicago Food Planet Tour was above expectations. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and an Illinois native. The walk can get a bit long in the hot sun, but worth it. We had a chance to taste some local food and visit smaller shops. The pizza we had on the tour was better than the usual deep dish that... more

The food tour of Chicago is a great way to experience Chicago. A walking tour taking you to places you might not find yourself. The stops for sampling the food are great in combination with a superb guide giving you insights to the city and the areas around Lincoln Park. Do the tour early so you have time to re-visit... more

We thought this would be a great intro to other Chicago neighbourhoods and some good food too. We were nowhere near right - it was much better than that! We were met at the first venue by Jennifer who was full of information on the food and the area. She led us through a range of food including a deli,... more

What a fabulous concept - walking (gentle pace), sightseeing, history, architecture, local gossip - and food! I thoroughly endorse all the other rave reviews on this site. You'll be virtually guaranteed to get ideas of places to go back to or visit after the tour so plan on doing it early in your trip to Chicago! One caveat - I... more

As others have mentioned, it's a fun little tour that incorporates some of the local Chicago neighborhoods with food tasting, though some of the food is actually spices and vinegrettes. One thing I wanted to mention was that the website states that most people finish the tour without having to grab lunch. FYI, the real food (pizza) doesn't happen until... more

A must do tour if you visit the "Windy City"! You will find out from Shane why they really call it the Windy City! This tour was packed with historical information along with lots of culinary delights. I did this tour with 16 Culinary Arts college students and they didn't want the tour to end. It was captivating from the... more

I just returned from a business trip to Chicago - decided to stay in the City and see some sights. I was really happy I decided to take the food tour. Friday was an absolutley beautiful day in Chicago and walking through the three amazing neighborhoods along our tour was delightful. Our tour guide Jennifer was very friendly and gave... more

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our food tasting and cultural walking tour. It was a great way to try new things and see a part of Chicago that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Our tour guide made us feel like "locals" with all the great information she gave us and places she pointed out, all the while... more

This tour was a great way to get out of the tourist areas of the city. We visited 8 different establishment, all of which were home grown in Chicago. Not only did we get to taste some great food but we also learned a lot about tea, spices, chocolate, oil and vinegar. We also stopped at many different buildings along... more
