Have been to St Anton about 6 times in last 4 years, twice staying in Oberlech, and love the place. Whilst you could argue that some of the mega French resorts have better on piste skiing, they in no way have anywhere near the fun factor. The skiing is awesome and the off piste looks amazing (never tried it as... more

St Anton is the top Austrian resort and has some good and bad points. Austria is cheaper than France/Switz but St A is getting more expensive than a couple of years back. It has never been a budget holiday but you can drink/lunch in St A or Lech for the same price or less than London. Fabulous food and wine.... more

Well, I have just returned from St Anton, and it was my first ever snowbound holiday, i made the decision to Snowboard. The long and short of it, i absolutely loved it. I booked to go on a Whim, and it wasn't until after i read reviews that said not ideal for beginners or Timid Intermediates, so at that point... more

Stayed in the Appartments of Haus Am Fang owned by the Bastisti family. Very clean, large size, tyrolean style rooms.with lots of wood decoration. Excellent facilities for self catering. Also additional offer of breakfast (10 Euros per person per day) in the morning if you want. Lovely friendly and attentive owner who comes to the station to pick you up... more

Just got back from a fantastic week in St Anton. Arrived in the middle of a blizzard (it had in fact been dumping snow down for the past few weeks) leaving perfect skiing conditions. Despite the temperature being minus 6 - 8 degrees, the sun shone brightly every day providing a perfect opportunity for lunch time sun bathing! Don't be... more

I have just returned from St.Anton Feb 25 - March 4th. It is just too crowded queues can take 10-15 minutes in some places. Gampen, Galzig and Zammermoos the worst. Some areas require you to walk to get out of - Vallugagrat (even if you tuck at the top of the blue) I found Rendl the quitest area and the... more

My wife and i have just returned on the 28th of January from a week in St Anton and left with the feeling that we would definitely go back. It is a typically picturesque, very friendly Austrian village with the main street being fully pedestrianised and a wide range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, as well as a very modern gym,... more

Went to St Anton for a combined holiday/honeymoon. Really pretty town with lots of bars, hotels and tons of ski hire shops. If you do your ski hire research you can hire some fantastic, new skis for less than the usual Rep guided places. The Krazy Kangaruh is great for nightlife but go there for lunch too. The Blue runs... more

Just got back from a week in St Anton. We went from February 18th - the 26th. The snow was good, there was powder to be found off Piste. The town was really cool, and the night life was great, although it was a bit of a sausage fest. I would definitely go back, but it is quite expensive, so... more
