I thoroughly enjoyed this museum, as did my 11 and 13 year old daughters. The films are informative and entertaining. The exhibits are phenomenal-especially the part that basically takes you through Lincoln's tenure in the White House. The four minute progressive map of the Civil War is powerful and humbling. Wow, this museum is not to be missed! I am a Lincoln fan but I think anyone would find this museum great. I would see the Ghosts film first, then go through the old log cabin to that exhibit. This was the last stop on our Abecation! We thought we'd only stay an hour...mostly because we'd not read anything about it and we wanted to get on the road sooner than later. Visited the museum in August and found that one of the best museums I have ever visited. It was opened in 2005 and has all modern technology used for the enjoyment of visitors. Allow at least four hours to go through various sections of the museum. One can easily spend the full day reading the literature and watching documentary films.... more
