It was Valentines Day and the Two Wise Ones had nothing to do. Susan had already gotten an Airstream recently so she asked her beloved husband what he wanted to do for Valentines Day. Maikel responded that he wanted to go to the Pima Air & Space Museum. So that’s where they went. The museum was full of tour guides... more

After walking around for most of the day and seeing almost all the aircraft on display,my son Jody and I went back to the 390th hanger and spent time talking and listening to the air force veterans who volunteer at this exhibit. This was the high light of the entire visit. more

Between all of the indoor hanger exhibits and the aircraft parked outside, visiting this place can take you all day. Be sure and pay a little extra for the tram tour, as you'll get information on each (and I do mean each) individual plane sitting outside. The memorial museum for the 330th bomber group is especially moving. It can get... more

Our visit to the Pima Air and Space Museum was the highlight of our visit to Tucson! The knowledgable volunteers offered first-hand knowledge of the World War II aircraft from their time in the military. The outdoor field full of aircraft was amazing! We would definitely say this attraction was worth the money. Allow at least 3 hours to get... more

This aviation museum is touted as the third largest in the US behind the Smithsonian and Wright-Patterson, and the largest private aviation museum. They have a very large and assorted collection (mainly military), with many excellent displays (especially the prop bombers in the hangers) and helpful folks to answer questions. The main "yard" provides ample opportunity to wander and study... more

The docent that gave the tour covering the B29 didnt know about the confication of 3 of those planes by the Soviets in late 1944 that allowed them to build their TU-4 bomber. I did enjoy the tour and its nice to see planes from that time so well cared for. more

As a person that loves aviation, I have been to many aircraft exhibits and shows. This tops them all for being so complete. While some airplanes show the effects of the sun, there is just about everything you would want to see at one site. The volunteers are nice and helpful, and to see an SR-71 Blackbird spyplane up close... more
