If you like being crowded then this is the beach for you. Traffic, naturally, is horrible. Since it's so difficult to park, you're better off walking to anything within a couple of miles if you rented a car (which isn't a bad thing). Quite a few restaurants, lots of shops, bums, and a lot of people trying to sell you... more

I have been to hawaii eight times and of those eight times seven of them were to waikiki. The other one time was to maui all i here from you guys is "it is so over crowded" " there are toruists everywhere" "it is so expensive" All I have to say about that is that if you want an uncrowded... more

Waikiki is very pretty but beyond that not worth the effort and money spent to see it. First off I gotta say I visit Vegas and the Carrib. quite often. So the no drinking on the beach law was like a slap in the face. If I lay in the hot sun on the beach for 8 hours,if i decide... more

Rented a studio for 14 days through Waikiki Vacation Studios. It was in the Whaler Apt. In Ads, Prop ID #167512 It was unsuitable and we had to leave even though they would not refund our remaining 9 days. Report has gone to Better Business Bureau. Owner calls us liars. The following list describes why the studio was unacceptable for... more

I found this beach to be nice and clean w/ something for just about everyone. It is 2.5 miles long w/ activities such as snorkeling, catamarans, surfing, lounging, etc. up and down the coast. Diamond Head looms beautifully from almost all areas of the beach. There is also a sea wall in some areas that lessen the break and make... more

Waikiki isn't for everyone......yes it is crowded and very urban. Some may say polluted. But I love Waikiki! The beach is awesome! It has stuff for everyone. There is a man made protected beach across the street from the Waikiki Beach hotel which is great for kids. There is a regular beach to the right and left. It is crowded... more

It's nice to go there just once so that you can tell ppl you've been there. The place is chocked with tourists and beachgoers. I'd not recommend staying at Waikiki. You even have to wait in line for valet parking. However, if you ever gets tired and want to take a rest, go to the Westin Moana Surfrider Resort (on... more

Waikiki is very crowded. You will not be alone on this beach. But the waters are calm for floating and the view up to diamond head is glorious. Sailing Waikiki: There are a bunch of catamaran sail boats that sail out all day and will take you. You don't need to book ahead of time. Just walk up and ask... more

Just a word of warning, The Yellow umbrellas and sunloungers on Wakiki beach cost $50 per day to hire. A cheaper option if watching pennies is to buy an umbrella from the ABC store for $15 and beach mat for $1.89! You can use them all week then. more
