I stayed here with my father for just one night, we had a room each in the old part of the hotel - right at the very top with matching opposite rooms. We arrived at Le Wast, which is just a short drive from Bologne, and went to get some supplies before checking in.. well believe me when I say... more

If you prefer an authentic, independently owned hotel to one of the faceless chains (all of which are available in Calais and Boulogne), are willing to pay significantly more for the experience and accept a significantly lower standard of service, this may be the place for you. However, the service offered really doesn't justify the price in this day and... more

We were recommended by our in laws. The village is small and very quiet with nothing else to do apart from a walk around and into the country. We were quite happy with this. The place was nice but obviously still being worked on in a number of areas. The rooms in the old part of the hotel were really... more

We have stayed here at least twice before but we certaintly won't be returning. The place is looking very delapitated from the outside, although inside is much better. Our stay was for 3 nights, evening meal included yet we were offered the same menu every night with the same two choices. The dishes were overly elaborate and pretentious. We returned... more

We have stayed here several times over the years, the last time (until this visit) being early 2006. The welcome as always was warm and friendly. We stayed in the original part of the chateau in a lovely room; reasonably spacious, beautifully decorated, nice modern bathroom. We prefer the original rooms to the rooms in the new wing - they... more

My husband and I took my mother here for her 70th birthday - it was her first visit though we are regulars. We all loved it - the food was (as always) superb, the service was wonderful, and Mme Bruzac is lovely. I'd asked for some flowers in Mum's room on arrival - the receptionist passed me the bill for... more

We have stayed here four times in the last three years and find it a conveniently located stopover to break up the journey home from further south in France. Although it had changed hands the last time we visited, the staff remained friendly (although slightly too english-language obsessed for our tastes) and helpful. The food has always been very good,... more

This hotel has been our perfect place for a long weekend autumn getaway. Four of us have stayed at this hotel more than 15 times in the last 20 years. Our last visit was 3 years ago when 9 of us stayed for a 60th birthday and as usual the food and service were nothing short of superb and we... more

Had a one night stay here in late September, to break the road journey back to England. It's in a tiny village (Le Wast) just outside Boulogne. The room was very comfortable with windows in two walls, which could be shuttered if you preferred. The food was excellent. Two or three very good menus with a high standard of cuisine... more

A group of us, 10, first stayed at the Chateau a couple of years ago. We were impressed by everything about our visit. From the clean stylish bedrooms and bathrooms, the great food, good friendly effecient service to the quiet relaxing location ten miles from Boulogne. Since then my wife and I have visited on another four occasions - the... more
