Stayed here during a recent visit to Lille. The hotel is outside the city, with a tram connection just outside the main gate. The room was comfortable for two adults and one child; it was ready when we arrived (I don't take this for granted any more). The surroundings are quiet - with a trace noise from the motor-way nearby.... more

We had an overnight stay at this hotel on the way back to London. It's in a great location for this, though there isn't much surrounding the hotel - you'd have to drive if you wanted to go the Lille town centre. Rooms were lovely and the staff very helpful. The pillow-top beds are extremely comfortable and all rooms have... more

The advance discount rate of 85 Euros looked a good deal and we were not disappointed. This is a good standard Accor chain hotel. The superior room had a fantastically comfortable bed and the room was well equipped - even had a kettle and cups for tea! Two downsides - very difficult to find it as right now the exit... more

We stayed at this Sofitel for one night (November 4th). It is a standard Sofitel experience. The hotel was fine, if a little clinical. Staff were efficient, and, for once, humoured my poor attempts to speak French. We had two interconnecting rooms and my only slight complaint would be that the twin room my sons had smelt very musty. Even... more

Having been ousted from our booking at the Carlton in Lille centre (see my review for that one!) to here it is difficult to be objective, however i will give it a go. The hotel IS some way out of town and taxi's are not what Lille is renowned for! (cost to town centre between 15 eu and 30 eu... more

This hotel is not in the centre of Lille but about 20 mins out of town. It is right next to Cerisaie tramway stop so if you travel by Eurostar you can get the tramway for only Euro1.25 (single. Day ticket Euro 3.50). Taxi costs around Euro25.00 When i booked the hotel it was situated 'in the Park' now the... more

Stayed in the Sofitel this past weekend. As others have mentioned, it is not in downtown Lille. This was not much of a problem for me as I have a car but others might want to take the location into consideration. It is linked to downtown by a tramway which I did not take so cant comment on that. The... more

The main problem on our stay is that the hotel is not close to Lille centre at all, it is a tram ride away and about 10 stops out in a business district. If you are using the hotel to visit Lille then we wouldn't recommend it as there were nicer ones of a similar standard in town. The hotel... more

This hotel is actually in Marcq-en-baroeul, on the outskirts of Lille. Very handy for a trip into Belgium. No real problem with the hotel service, staff friendly. The main restaraunt was closed throughout August, this was disappointing but the bar food was adequate. Probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. more

In my view not worth the money. The service was poor and unhelpful, and when I walked into my room for the first time, there was hardcore porn on the TV! The hotel is way out of Lille, and though you can get the tram into the centre, it's a hassle, and you really need a car, and then somewhere... more
