The castle is without a doubt the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The only thing better than the property itself is the owners. Antonio and Sal make you feel like royalty and part of the family at the same time. My stay at the castle was absolutely perfect and incredibly romantic. more

We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 young adult children and we all had a wonderful time. You must have Salvatore cook for you at least one night. Our best meal of 10 days in Italy. He also has wonderful recommendations for places to eat where ever you are off to visit. The renovation of the castle is an... more

My husband and I stayed at Castello delle Serre in mid-September for three nights. Of our entire ten day trip to Italy, this was by far the best place we stayed the whole time. In fact, while we were excited to see other parts of Italy, nothing compared even closely to our experience here. From the moment you arrive at... more

My husband just returned from a trip that included 5 nights at this lovely and romantic hilltop castle in a small village near Sienna. The father and son owners, Salvatore and Antonio, felt like old friends by the end of our stay. Their hospitality was remarkable! Every morning over a lovely continental breakfast (served outside near the pool if it... more

I have been to Italy 4 times and this is the only hotel I have returned to for a second visit. This is an opportunity to stay in a genuine 500 plus year old castle (parts are 1200 years old) updated with all the luxeries including a lovely pool with a view. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of... more

This place is so amazing; there are not enough words to describe it. The food, the views, the staff, the location: more wonderful than you can imagine. I want to bring my entire family back to stay here. Our best dinner in all of Italy was here with Salvatore and Antonio. Salvatore was also able to make perfect recommendations for... more

My wife and I stayed at the castle for 3 nights over our honeymoon. It is an absolutely fantastic hotel with to-die-for panoramic views of the tuscan countryside below it. We splurged on the defense tower but the other rooms sounded excellent as well. The room was very nice with magnificent views. The deck up on top of the tower... more

OK. Everything you’ve read is so truth. The thing is….no matter HOW GOOD people described this magic place…in reality it is better. It is combination of everything: accommodation. location. ambiance. vistas. excellent taste of every single detail. impeccable service. allegedly the most expensive swimming pool in Tuscany. I could not escape the feeling of being a character in some fairytale.... more

Castello delle Serre was the best accommodation we stayed in over the seven week holiday of Italy and Greece. The people are beautiful, Salvatore and Antonio and Tony went to every length to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They are fantastic cooks and we enjoyed true Tuscan cooking, and I am still dreaming about the Tiramisu... more

Just go tback from Tuscany, and our 3 day stay in Castello was the best part of the trip. If you read the other comments you'll find nice and long descriptions. They are all good and all true!! So, if you plan a trip to Tuscany, cancel all other hotel reservations and go here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call Salvatore or Antonio, and you... more
