We were originally booked to stay in Hotel Thalassa in Kamari but after complaining about the standard of the room, we were moved here at no extra cost. The design of the hotel is wonderful and the all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite we stayed in was very clean, fresh towels were supplied twice a day... more

We booked our stay in Santorini quite late and many of the higher class hotels were already booked. Zannos Melathron was available and when we looked into it, we found that it was written up in Conde Nast publications and thought that we couldn't go wrong. We're in agreement with the other reviewers in that the hotel, its welcoming tradition,... more

The hotel was horrible - the room that we received (paid 400 Euros per night) was an absolute damp - very humid and moist. I got sick and stayed sick for a month, following my stay there. more

The hotel is pretty nice but the room that was given to us was very bad, one of the rooms facing the inside walls where no sunsine ever entered. The room was extremely damp, a lot ot constant humidity. Basically, the room where we stayed in was like a cave. Both of us left the hotel after a 6 night... more

I stayed at the Zannos Melathron in May 2006 for part of my honeymoon. It was a very nice stay. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel staff and then driven into the town of Pyrgos (which is a few miles from Thira--the most known part of Santorini). Once we got to Pyrgos we were greeted by... more

From the Moment Alexia the donkey greets you at the foot of the hills, to the glass of champagne that is placed in your hand at arrival , you know you are in for a holiday to rememeber. My Husband and I stayed here for our Honeymoon, though we have travelled a lot, I can honestly say our stay here... more

We spent 2 wonderful nights (July 13 and 14) in the Zannos. From our arrival to our departure, everything was a true delight. Because of the size of the hotel (10 suites), you have the feeling you are in a private home. The service is outstanding and the thoughtful staff (especially Alexander and Marina who are two real sweets) will... more

We stayed for our honeymoon in the Zannos melatron past June. The hotel, which is an old restaured mansion in a cliff, has a beatiful view of the volcano caldera and is one of the best places to watch sunsets in the island. The staff is small and very personalized, the rooms are old rooms converted to suites. The food... more

We split our stay on Santorini in April of 2004 between a small hotel on the cliffis in Imergovili and this beautiful restored mansion. The Zannos is an incredible hotel located atop Santorini's highest hilltop. The view is 360 degrees of beauty! Your luggage arrives via donkey up to the tip of this hilltop. The Zannos enjoys the perfect perch... more
