I have stayed in Kitley House Hotel for almost two and a half months now on business. Kitley house is a very nice environment to stay in. On a secluded country estate it boasts beautiful gardens and pieceful surroundings. During my whole stay I've not been disturbed. Free wireless and wired internet access through out the hotel is great if... more

Kitley House is a lovely old building tucked away in the middle of a country estate. Mine was one of the rooms on the top floor and while spacious for just me would have been a bit cramped for two. Nevertheless it had everything I needed and wanted. The room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean, bed comfortable - lots... more

Loved the stay there. We stayed there over a weekend in a four-poster room. We liked it a lot. Great room and bathroom, staff friendly, unintrusive and unlike some other elegant country hotels quite down to earth. We also ha my dog with us (one of the reasons we picked the hotel), and he loed it there soooo much -... more

celebrated sons 18th, stayed in two suites one of which had a secret door into the library ! Rooms were inkeeping with the style of the house. both suites were large and well equipped the food we had was good. the english breakfast excellent. We stayed here when we went down for the weekend to Devon. One night was spent in another hotel and the other night in this one. The hotel has a very impressive drive and grounds; although you do start to wonder if you are ever going to get to the hotel. Our room was in the attic and a bit... more

Beautiful old house in lovely grounds with a spectacular central stairwell. Sadly the inside of the hotel was rather run down (flakey paint and mildew on window frames, damp marks on the ceiling, 1980's style wallpaper and cheap bathroom fittings). We booked a suite. No proper double bed - just two singles pushed together. It was a lovely large high-ceilinged... more

We stayed here in July 2007 for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is a lovely listed building in a great location on the River Yealm, great walks in the grounds along the river. Would definitely recommend that you pay a little bit extra and go for one of the state rooms as they are really nicely... more

This is a beautiful hotel in the middle of no where. The rooms were loverly although mine was a little small and i never found the tv remote! Everything was very clean and tidy. The views are stunning and its nice to have a walk in the morning. I found the food fantastic, although it was a little pricey at... more

Nice setting. Friendly staff. We stayed for one night, glad we weren't staying longer. Food O.K. but nothing special. Room very large but in need of re-furbishment. It was tacky, not the standand you would expect. more

We stayed here recently for my brothers wedding. It was such a great little hotel. We only stayed the one night and it was the third wedding they had, had that weekend but the staff were very friendly and made us all feel very welcome. The rooms were great - had everything you could need. Including an iron, bottles of... more
