Decided to book a two centre holiday in Cuba, three nights in Havana and seven nights in Jibacoa. We chose Ambos, because it was fairly small and becuase of the history with Hemingway. The Ambos Mundos hotel is perfectly located in the very center of Old Havana, near Plaza de Armas. It has a wonderful view from the roof where breakfast is served. The only thing to have to check is that they give you a room with a window ! Some rooms haven't... We were shown three rooms before we got one... more

We really enjoyed the hotel Ambos Mundos. Yes, it is overpriced but it´s hard to get a place in a good location in Havana that isn´t and trust us the less you pay the less you get. We only stayed in this hotel as when we arrived at Hotel Florida (2 blocks away) to start our Honeymoon we were told that they had a problem with their airconditioning and had to stay one night at this hotel. very central location .rooms clean and tidy.we had a front room with a great view of the street.we used the restaurant on two occasions for two evening meals .i have to say we were plesently suprised both in quality of food supplied and cost..the is a lively bar attached to hotel with lots of dancing etc. more
