The best thing about the Telegrafo is its location: it faces the Parque Central and is about 1 block from the Capitolio. It is also a short walk to old Havana. The Telegrafo was renovated a few years ago and is a mixture of old and modern. The lobby and bar are very snazzy. The rooms are spare but comfortable... more

Nice place, clean, but the main advantage is its situation in Habana. Neai the old city, at the entrance of the Prado, 2 streets from the Floridita restaurent. The staff is friendly, no more, The restaurant is expensive. Cross the park to the Floridita, continue on the street and at the corner of the building there is a small resto... more

I just spent a wonderful 29 days in Havana .. That also included being visited by the two hurricanes Gustav and Ike .. :-) I had a room on the first floor of the Hotel Telegrafo facing the park.. It was large and everything worked .. This Hotel is well located, just across the street from Parque Central. It's an... more

Positives: The hotel is in a great location, close to the old town but a 5 min walk in the other direction (a couple of blocks behind the hotel and Capitolio) will take you into the "real" Habana, where you will not see many tourists but well worth a walk to get a flavour of local life. Chinatown is also... more

We stayed in this hotel as part of a package for three nights from the 21/7/08 - 24/7/08 and were pleased with the quality of service and the rooms. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view over the Prado. We were apprehensive before our trip as we had read some reviews which weren't too complimentary, however, we... more

I stayed in the Hotel Telegrafo for a few days in November 2007 while on the first few days of a tour. It’s in a great location a few moments away from the Capitolio building and a short walk from both the sea and Old Havana. The bar area is very pleasant with a glass atrium effect and there are... more

Because of internal flight time changes, due to it being 1st May, Revolution Day, we ahd to stay at the Telegrafo for 1 night. It's lobby and exterior are fantastic, it's rooms are as you'd expect from a 4* in Cuba. Go to the restaurant and although you'll pay top rates for the food, their steaks are worth every peso.... more

We stayed there for four nights. The hotel is well located for walking around Havana Vieja (the old town) and close to the best paladre in town - la Guarida. Clean and average size double room with two dwouble beds. Had a leaking air conditioning system in the bedroom. We did not complain as it was not that big of... more

We arrived early hours of the morning, after a 10 hour flight delay. The reception staff were great and got us to our rooms quickly so we could get some much needed rest. Our room was huge, we had booked a standard room, but were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite with a lounge, bedroom, toilet and a... more
