I stayed two nights during a business trip to Havana in march 2007. It is a new and well maintained hotel, however it does not have any local character, thus I believe that this hotel is a typical hotel that you can stay at anywhere in the world. The hotel was nice enough, but is very far from downtown and shuttle buses do not run in the evenings. It was inconvenient for a group too large to fit into a single taxi. It was, however, neat to see the nearby embassies - most notably the former Soviet embassy. more
