this is the cheapest all-inclusive hotel in Varadeo..so don@t expect 5 star treatment. Rooms were excellent..new modern air conditioning unit, powerful shower. Was very quiet when we were there so only buffet restaurant was open and was no-on in the bars or watching the very basic entertainment..so we went out alot. Beach was fantastic..pool was fine..big site. Buffet food was... more

That's really an ok place to stay. U'll not experience any luxury there, but that's Cuban style everywhere. Hotel's fine, very nicely located. We had a big room (9002), if U don't like yours there's always a possibility to change it. Food - nothing special (Cuban cusine in general is nth special), but U won't be hungry - that's for... more

So, I had read a lot of reviews when I booked our stay at Villa Tortuga, so to say I as expecting the world on a silver platter is far from the truth. It seemed to me that the experience everyone had depended a fair bit on their expectations. My boyfriend and I had pretty simple expectations. 1. AWESOME Beach... more

Overall this place was pretty good value - all inclusive (including buffets & all the alcohol you want) & on a good spot on the amazing Varadero beach: 1. Service - absolutely terrible - the reception staff were so uninterested & unfriendly, it was beyond belief - they did not even try to pretend they cared about anything you had... more

I just got back from my vacation and must say I am missing everything. Villa Tortuga is the place to be. The beach was amazing and the people were even better. The food was hit and miss but when it was a miss we ate in town for less than 10 bucks. Plus Villa Tortuga is located close to Al... more

This is a great budget resort! Not to crowded, great beach, friendly staff, actually located in the town. We stayed in a superior room just a few steps from the beach. The maid service was very good and they folded our towels into fancy shapes with fresh flowers. The food at the resort was okay, I was a little weary... more

I've just returned from Cuba and I must disagree with some reviews. In my oppinion Villa Tortuga is one of the best placed hotels in Varadero. Just 5 mins to town is much better then over 30 mins from 5-stars hotels. The beach is lovely. Swimming pool is rather for children and the water is cold. Rooms are pretty good... more
