So we travelled to Cuba in November 2008, and the hurricane season was extended this year by about a month. So the weather didn't co-operate too well with us. But hey, they can't all be amazing, can they? When we first arrived we were told that the Coral part of the resort was closed as there wasn't enough people to... more

We are two women in our 50's who travel together once a year to Cuba. We have been many times, and this was our only horrible experience. My friend has a heart condition, and we had requested a main floor room. We were put on the 4th floor in a room that the airconditioner did not work in. We were... more

Arrived in Cuba on Oct 22, 08. sol sirenas was awesome, the staff were amazing, were more than willing to go out of their way for any requests. The room was average, but we didn't go there to spend our time in our rooms, even with the rainy season, we had the greatest time, the weather was hot and humid... more

I just got back from a great week in Cuba. I went with a girlfriend, and we stayed at the Sol Sirenas. We were supposed to be in the Coral section, but it wasn't open as it was still low season, so they put us in the Sirenas section instead. Our room was good... a little peeling paint here and... more

The Coral side is under construction still, however a lot of the facilities on that side are still open, including the amazing pool! The food in the buffet is average Cuban food, not going to get much better at other resorts. The a-la-carte restaurants were great, except October is Mosquito month and they are outside... bring lots of bug spray!... more

We and 4 other couples who arrived on the same plane from Toronto, Canada, only stayed ONE night in this resort. Everyone one of us had different complaints, and all were upset with the lack of advertised facilities and the horrible reheated foods that we feared would sicken us. The Coral which we were booked for was closed and we... more

Travel Experience: Let me begin by saying that I would say I have a fair bit of travel experience especially in the Caribbean all-inclusive experience. We spend about 3 weeks a year at an all-inclusive somewhere in the Caribbean. We have stayed anywhere from 3-5 stars depending on the price we get and what we were looking for. Traveling to... more

Me and 3 girlfirends stayed at this hotel in May and had a great time. There was a shuttle waiting for us at the airport and check in didn't take too long. The bars and disco are a good time and there are always activities to do. The massage was wonderful and definitly worth the extra money. I would also... more

I will admit that this hotel was not the smoothest all-inclusive experience I have had. However, the sooner you let go of the minor problems, the more you will fall in love with this hotel. Minor problems: -We booked two double beds and got one king (not a big deal since I was staying with my mom). -our balcony door... more

My daughter and I arrived here after a lovely stay at the Parque Central hotel in Havana. We booked a little "blind" as hadn't prebooked our stay in Varadero and there wasn't much choice a few days before arrival. This hotel was markedly cheaper than a lot of the other 4*s. We arrived very late at night. The foyer was... more
