El Moro is a lovely small property in La Paz. The architecture and pool are appealing as is the ocean breeze that drifts across the lobby. Our room (the cheapest) was simple but comfortable. They also have nice suites for families. There is small restaurant for breakfast and lunch and bar by the pool. The hotel is a few blocks... more

We spent a week with a fellow Canadian at his home in the desert in El Centenario about 20 minute drive from La Paz. Needing a little more activity we drove to La Paz in search for a suite hotel when we came upon El Moro. We were greeted by Carlos and Jesus both of who spoke very good English.... more

Six of us stayed here at the end of Feb. I felt this was a wonderful place to stay and had absolutely no complaints. It is located right on the main road leading out of town to various beaches and to the ferry terminal. The room and the bathroom were very large and extremely clean. The small restaurant on site... more

My husband n I just got back from La Paz. The people on the island were very nice; however, the island itself was not to our liking. I will list a few negatives below 1. Food was less than average all over the island. 2. El Moro hotel was over-run by locals (and on a main road no less) with... more

El Moro is pretty good value. For $74, we got a king bed and a very clean room. It's a good place to stay, if all you are looking for is somewhere to crash. The facilities are very basic but then again so is the price. My biggest complaint: although I had booked our room three months in advance, when... more

Club El Moro is a great little oasis in La Paz. If you like smaller hotels then this is the place for you. It is indeed quiet, clean, and friendly. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the pool, hot tubs and bar are fun and welcoming if you want to chat with other tourists. The grounds are well taken care... more

We stayed 2 nights at Club El Moro Hotel Suites in March, 2007. We flew into Cabo, stayed in San Jose del Cabo for 2 nights, then took a bus to Todos Santos for 3 nights. Our hotel in Todos Santos recommended Club El Moro, and called the hotel for us to make reservations. We took the 1 hour bus... more

After reading the other reviews, I thought we had found the perfect hotel in La Paz. Not so. We specifically booked a room with a patio, and when we got there they had us in a very dark corner room that was decorated much like a basement apartment. We had to practically beg to be moved into another room (with... more

We have travelled a lot to mexico and really fell in love with la paz. you feel safe there walking around even at night. Carlos was really helpful booking... more

After reading other reviews we tried the Club El Moro -- and also found it pleasant and comfortable. The room was well-sized, with a pretty balcony. The pool area is landscaped and very attractive, the on-site restaurant was fine for breakfast. (We recommend the "American style" food -- and the fresh fruit drinks.) It's important to know that the hotel... more
