We stayed July 29 - Aug 5. Good service, clean rooms, helpful staff. The view is spectacular and within walking distance to Cici Waterpark and shopping, yet a little away from the nightlife. The food was good. With only one pool, it would be nice to have another pool for the kiddies, but live and let live. The roped off... more

Elcano is in a great location in the gulf of Mexico, the view of the bay is breathtaking. This hotel prides itself on it's service. Key signs for me, were the fact that many local companies hold their conferences in the hotel. Pros were food served on the beach and by the pool area, dining area is meticulous, rooms are... more

I have just returned from a one week vacation to hotel El cano in Acapulco. We booked the almost all inclusive package which includes all meals and drinks between 11-8pm. I had read all the reviews before leaving and therefore expected a lot from this hotel. I also found this hotel very nice but there are some negatives points that... more

I stayed at this hotel in 2003. When we arrived we were given a lovely well decorated standard room & were over the moon with it. However on the second day we were told we needed to change rooms as there was a problem with the room we were in. We reluctantly moved to what we considered an inferior room.... more

Just got back and miss the place already. This is a great hotel. It is spotless and every room overlooks the beach. The rooms and the pool look just like the pictures on Expedia. It is located on a great part of the beach and it is close to zillions of restaurants, a couple of grocery stores and Wal-Mart. It... more

My husband and I just came back last monday night from a one week vacation at El Cano Hotel. The hotel is super in every way EXCEPT FOR THE FOOD. There is only a buffet and it is not very good, and if you have an All Included plan, you can have "a la carte" (sometimes) because they are not... more

Last June (2004) I went on holiday with my boyfriend to Acapulco. We already read some reviews about El Cano and expected a lot. And I can tell you, it was great! The hotel is beautiful with her white and blue accents. The pool is very clean and the terrace is very relaxing. We stayed for 2 weeks in El... more

i've been visiting acapulco since i was a kid, but this is my new favorite hotel. we loved the simple white and blue decor, the extensive juice selection at breakfast, the amazing view from our room and the quiet, off-street location. it's not fairmont luxury, but it makes me imagine acapulco of yesteryear. we will keep coming back to acapulco... more

On January 26,2004,I stay 2 weeks at the El Cano, all I can say the hotel service is excellent, the room are beautiful and so clean. The buffet for the breakfeast and the lunch was very good, but the dinner buffet wasn't good, many people complaint about it.and for the service bar close at 20.00 PM. But all in all,I recommend this hotel, this is... more
