The El tropicano is an excellent place to stay if you want the Mexican atmopshere. Sometimes it can be a little too much--on weekends they open everything up to the natives and the pool is full of children and adults. I met the girl of my dreams here 17 years ago. She was a beautiful mexican girl and the staff here went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. I am still married to this beautiful faithful Mexican girl. The El Tropicano was a great memory for me forever. God Bless Ron more

Spent a week in that place in September of 2003. When we went out we noticed a maid standing outside our door, suspicios. We returned an hour later to find our luggage had been gone through and all my travel agent id and documents were gone.The management would not allow me to use their phone to call police. hi iwas here in 1989 and 1998 agreat little hotel if your looking for something in expensive. the staff was great and the rooms were always nice and clean. if you wanted to be close to shopping or any of the night life this is the place to stay. the pool area was great always made alot of new friends... more

My wife and I, stayed at El Tropicano this past winter,it was a very freindly place to stay ,food was lousy,but walmart was just next door with mcdonalds. Could have been cleaner. more

Loved the place, full of canadians, best place to buy silver safely, staff was wonderful. Stay here year after year. No stealing, however you can lock up your valuables...which I do. Why tempt anyone? more

I stayed here quite a few years ago, don't remember much except it was in a good location was cheap and my watch was stolen from my room presumably by one of the staff! more
