My husband and I were lucky enough to be gifted a week at this resort for our honeymoon. Our flight arrived in Acapulco at 11:00 am, but check in at the resort is not until 5. They allowed us to check in and store our luggage and use the pool facilities until our room was ready at 3:00. The main... more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Mayan Sea Gardens through an RCI exchange. the resort itself was beautiful. There were landscapers there everyday tending to the grounds. It is what I would call the "little sister" of the larger resorts, the Grand Mayan and Mayan Palace. Sea Garden's rooms were quaint enough and spacious. The furniture was old... more

My family LOVED Acapulco. Even though June and July are part of the rainy season, it only seems to rain at night in Acapulco (During the day, the difference in temperature from the land to the sea pushes the rain out to sea and it only comes to the coast when the land cools down at night, or something like... more

The Mayan Sea Garden has many pluses and some minuses depending on your likes and dislikes of course. It is maybe a two or three block walk to get to the beach. Once there, they have a nice little beach club area with patio lounge chairs and some palm trees for shade if needed and a little pool and snack... more

Stayed at the Mayan Sea Garden recently and enjoyed it. We went during the low season so it was very quiet. The pool was nice and not crowed at all. The sea was somewhat rough at the beach but that was actually a lot of fun for our 5-yr-old son. A trip to the Wal Mart (it's a full supermarket... more

Never, please never stay here. This is not a Really Hotel. The rooms are outdated, pictures at the brochuses are misleading. The pool is out of the property, the beach is only 2 mts long. Worts service in the world. No restaurante in the property. The rooms are small, no wait staff around pool area, you have to cross the... more

We just returned from an RCI timeshare exchange week in Acapulco. When booking our exchange, we had made a special point to begin our stay after May 1st at the direction of our RCI counselor. We were told that if we booked arrival after May 1st, as a special promotion for off-season occupancy, Mayan Resorts would not enforce their “1-year-in-5,”... more

My husband and I spent a week in early March 2007 as an RCI exchange at the Mayan Sea Garden. We found the facility was quiet and sufficient for our needs--very low key compared to the Mayan Palace where got to by the complimentary van or walked early in the day (2 miles) and wandered about in awe. Although we... more
