We have just returned from a week stay at the faro mazatlan resort Feb 10-17 2007 . We had such a good time, the hotel was alright, there was barely anyone staying there, maybe 40 people. So it was very quite, but we did meet some great people. The service was great, the waiters were so fun & friendly. The... more

My family and I vacationed at the Faro 3/25-4/1. I had gotten quite nervous about all the negativity toward the resort right before our trip, but all in all, I thought it was one of my best trips to Mexico. The pool was a little on the small side, but it really wasn't too busy, so it wasn't a big... more

After reading the negative reviews that were posted regarding the Faro, we were worried until we arrived, checked in and seen the view from our room. The view was excellent and set our minds at ease about our stay regardless of the negativity we had read. The rooms were a little outdated and in need of repair but hey we... more

We were at the Faro for two weeks Mar. 9-23, and I have to admit I was very nervous after reading all the negative comments just before leaving. I travelled with my husband and two boys, ages 10 & 14 and we had a great time. Some of the comments are true but not to the extent that they were... more

We read a lot of reviews and were a little nervous before we went, but this hotel was really nice. The people were more than happy to help, the service was fine and the view was spectacular. We were really afraid of the stairs and the food from other reviews. But the stairs aren't rickety or beat up, they're wooden... more

dated hotel; with some upkeep and renovations could be spectacular! ocean-view room (1415) fabulous, no fridge, though. nice secluded beach. staff friendly. had all-inclusive; breakfast best meal of the day. some good meals, some bad meals. service not great, but we are easy going and had no problem serving ourselves :) the grounds were nice; tennis courts worn and not... more

The Good We loved the look and feel of the hotel – vintage 70s style, three stories cut into a bluff (75 stairs to the beach from the hotel pool). The beach was the best of all the hotel beaches we walked around, as it was secluded in a cove and had plenty of room for guests to spread out... more

Our visit to the Faro was a delight! Aside from the hotdogs (which I found to be pretty funny), everything was up to snuff with how I thought it would be. The front desk was fine, friendly enough. We were there just before the Spring break crowd, so I figure they were a little more relaxed. The beach was lovely,... more

Well, after all of the up and down reviews recently, I guess we are the most upbeat as of late. I think the reason we have a more positive review is we did not do the all inclusive, and it seems to be the food which gets the worst reviews. Let me post the positives and negatives, and if you... more

My friend and I stayed at Faro in early February. After doing some research on the internet and reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to go with the great all inclusive deal at the Faro. Well the joke was on us because there was no deal to be had there. First of all it is NOT a... more
