We booked a one bedroom thru I.I. We checked in late on a Saturday and did not experience any problems. We were in an end unit facing the pool but we could also see the ocean from our balcony. The room was large and clean. My husband and I both found the bed to be comfy but had a small... more

Well i have to say... first off: This property is gorgeous. The groundskeeping crew works hard every day to make it extra clean and very visually appealing. We stayed in the first building, where the front desk/fountain and so on are. I would recommend that you DO NOT stay in this buidling. It is very noisy and the fountain is... more

I read some reviews and they seemed to have one theme, the people trying to sell them a timeshare. As we arrived they tried to tell us they had a free drink for us if we sat down with them. My wife was a little rude and said in Spanish, "we don't want a drink and we don't want to... more

We just returned from Villa del Palmar as opposed to villa del Mar the location that is part of the overall complex. Our check in was as expected a problem. We paid for a single room along with a studio. They didn't have a one room unit but gave us 2 studios instead. they were not attached and with 3... more

Overall we liked this resort. Our 11-year-old loved it, as it is right on a beach and also has several nice swimming pools. The beach was kind of rough and about half the time we were there the red flag was up, but there are always the pools as backups. The beach has palapas and the pool has a lot... more

My husband and I own a one bedroom at the newer Villa del Arco in Cabo San Lucas; therefore, we typically go to Cabo, but, this year, we decided to try another city in Mexico and felt Puerto Vallarta would be a good option since we could stay at one of two sister resorts there (Villa del Palmar or Flamingos).... more

I'll start with the Cons: *As soon as we checked in, a staff member tried to get us to attend a time-share presentation in order for us to receive a "Gold Card." The gold card would get us discounts and benefits on snorkeling and other touristy events. Fortunately, PV is filled with salesmen who offer cheaper tickets without timeshare presentations.... more

We took our family of 6, including 3 teenagers, to Villa del Palmar June 15-22nd . For our first time in Puerto Vallarta, we wanted to stay in town to have easy access to activities, restaurants etc. We had the same problem with check-in I'd read in other postings...they didn't have a two-bedroom available, wanted to put us in the... more

Got three bedroom ocean front suite. Very nice room and view. House keeping kept room in order daily. Had one issue one second to last date. Hotel advised that we had to vacate room as they had reserved it for someone else. The hotel was quite rude about it all and forced us to move to one bedroom suite far... more
