It was the best honeymoon we could have ever wanted, without spending a lot of money. The resort was beautiful. I stayed at the Casa Velas in May 2008 and was quite impressed with the ability to check-in and have a peaceful experience. The grounds were quiet and with the location being so close to Puerto Vallarta I could run into the city if I wanted a little more excitement. Several of the reviews at this hotel seem very suspicious. The reviews from Chuck-Sara, Chitown42 and GreggandShari are HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS because -they share similar characteristics, all positive. This is the perfect hotel for a totally blissful vacation. Casa Velas is beautiful, clean, and feels very safe (gated). The staff are amazing. We found everyone to be gracious and helpful with every request. The property feels very exclusive. The private beach club is a wonderful ammenity. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else! more
