On the outside it looks ok, like a colonial hotel, but the carpets are really really dirty, under the beds is even worst, bathroom smells funny and is really small, sheets were old, tv only with two channels, lamp was not working it was a really dark room. more

After reading previous reviews, we were hesitant about coming here, but came to check it out anyway. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the hotel grounds. Last time I was at this hotel it was 20 years ago and it was far better than it is today. The rooms are in serious need of remodelling. They have stuck industrial carpeting that is DISGUSTINGLY dirty on the floors (and no the maids don't have vacuums). The rooms smell of mold and stale air. The bathrooms are gross... more

I've stayed here a few times. There are nicer, more central, more "full-service" places to stay in this lovely city, but they can cost twice the price or more. We didn't actually stay in the hotel, but ate in the restaurant a number of times. The hotel is very attractive, with flowers in the courtyard and a very pretty dining room.
