We arrived and were greeted on the dock by hotel staff, served champagne with freshly sqeezed orange juice and given ice cold towels to cool off and wipe the salt spray off of our faces. Thanks to the service, the ambience, and the attention to detail, our week at Villa Rolandi was straight out of a story book. After the reviews we read on Villa Rolandi, the place (and particularly the rooms) was all in all quite disappointing given that it costs over $400 a night. While the staff is friendly and helpful, the pool area well kept, the breakfast generally plentiful and good, the rooms leave much to be desired in terms of how they are maintained... more
