My new wife and I really enjoyed Villa Rolandi. It was more than we could have hoped for in our Honeymoon. The room was beautiful. It was always nice and cool, a comfort to walk into from the hot days. It was cleaned everyday for us, and there was always turn down service in the evening. The room was beautiful,... more

Absolutely fantastic. We arrived and were greeted on the dock by hotel staff, served champagne with freshly sqeezed orange juice and given ice cold towels to cool off and wipe the salt spray off of our faces. The room was beautifully inviting. Cool Italian marble floors and granite countertops. Soothing music in the room leads one to the breathtaking view... more

Villa Rolandi is a beautiful hotel with impeccable service and great food. The staff go out of their way to remember your name and preferences. As previous reviewer noted, the first couple of mornings I would walk downstairs to get the paper but by the end of the week it was on our breakfast tray. We stayed on the 3rd... more

Thanks to the service, the ambience, and the attention to detail, our week at Villa Rolandi was straight out of a story book. Upon arrival at the Cancun Airport, Rolandi's driver was waiting for us with a sign with our name on it (an addt'l fee of $100USD for round trip transport for my husband and I- well worth it).... more

We stayed at this hotel on honeymoon after reading all the great reviews posted here. Make no mistake, the hotel is good - the rooms are large and the staff are sincerely helpful. Many of them are local and have a small island mentality - ie haven't been exposed to the cynicism and negativity of modern day living in large... more

After the reviews we read on Villa Rolandi, the place (and particularly the rooms) was all in all quite disappointing given that it costs over $400 a night. While the staff is friendly and helpful, the pool area well kept, the breakfast generally plentiful and good, the rooms leave much to be desired in terms of how they are maintained... more

We just got back from a 5 night stay at Villa Rolandi. After many hours of reading posts on TripAdvisor, it was between Sun Palace in Cancun and Rolandi's...whew! Fella's if you'r trying to romance your lady...seriously...your search is over. Not Perfect Most of the other posts here are pretty accurate. The place isn't perfect. The pool wasn't working the... more

As this was our 7th visit to the Villa Rolandi, you know that we love the place. Having stayed thru out the Yucutan and Mexico at various other 5 star hotels for the last 25 years no other gives you better value, service but more importantly peace and relaxation than the Villa Rolandi. The staff is possibly the best in all... more

VERY SHORT VERSION - first slightly disappointed about the room (but I have to admit, I am a perfectionist) - very good service, someone came straight away to fix after we complained - upgraded to the honeymoon suit (mentioned the things that I was a bit disappointed about, not in a complain but just give them some feedback) - very... more

This is the most charming and relaxing resort we have visited in the Caribbean. So much friendlier than anything experienced on the other islands! Any better proof than the fact that we have already stayed here twice for 4-week periods each in 2006 & 2008? And it got better each time. The rooms are spacious and well appointed; three choices... more
