We loved this place and can only echo the other views by reviewers. Everything was top class, but in a low key way that made you feel very relaxed and at home. This was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Mexico. more

We stayed here 2 nights during a 10 day tour of the Yucatan and wished we could have stayed 2 weeks! An absolutely pristine experience. Staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and the rooms are enormous! We woke to birdsong each morning which was just lovely. Anyone thinking of going to Mexico should definitely spend a night or... more

The pictures on the website did not do the Hacienda justice. It was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived until check-out everything and detail was perfect. The Hacienda is very well kept as well as the grounds. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous, helpful and attentive. Our room was very clean and always decorated with fresh cut flowers. Every... more

I was a bit skeptical when I first saw the hacienda which is very remotely located in a tiny, poor village on a dirt road about 8 miles from the "main" road. The grounds and outside of the hotel didn't exactly look as pristine as the web site and I wondered what we had got ourselves into. My hesitancy vanished... more

Hacienda Santa Rosa – 1 night SPG Platinum member using points and dollars for this stay. This was the second stay of the 5 SPG-managed Haciendas. We drove easily from San Jose Chulol via visiting Celestun. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the manager. After enjoying our welcome drink and cold towels, he took us to room 10, a... more

We had four deeply relaxing days staying at this beautiful property. The service was top-rate, the best I've had at a hotel in Mexico. No one was stuffy, intrusive or stiff; they were warm, intelligent, attentive people. You can enjoy yourself doing nothing but reading good books in a lovely setting or you can take advantage of the great Mayan... more

We stayed at 3 of the haciendas of the "Luxury Collection" group: Santa Rosa, Puerta Campeche & San Jose. Like the others, Santa Rosa is most definitely a 5* experience. The rooms are huge, wonderfully furnished & give a real feeling of authenticity. The pool is a delight, a cool heaven surrounded by wild jungle. Service is perfect and the... more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hacienda Santa Rosa for our honeymoon of 8 nights in November 2007. After reading all of the previous positive reviews, we had extremely high expectations. These expectations were easily exceeded. As reported by other travelers, this is a truly amazing place. The Hacienda Santa Rosa is situated approximately 1 - 1 hr... more

My husband and I just returned from a two night stay at Hacienda Santa Rosa and what a delight! We stayed in the Mayan Villa, an expansive accommodation with a bed suspended from the ceiling on huge ropes from sturdy beams. There here "his" and "her" sinks with stone spouts extending directly from the wall. There were no less that... more

From the gracious greeting to the very attentive service, Cesar and his staff make you feel that this is your home, not a hotel. The music is perfect and sets the mood for any time of day. The food was the best we found in our month of travel in Mexico. If possible, book a package with at least breakfast... more
