This hotel was a joke. The rooms were dirty. We couldn't even use a 2 blow dryers in the same room cause it blew a fuse every time. When we asked for more towels we were told we were "using too many" even though there was 8 girls in total, and they gave us 6 towels. What are we supposed... more

I have been to a couple of Sandman Hotels lately. Generally, I have been satisfied. BUt this time, this hotel, I don't recommand it at all. The lobby is very nice, and that's all there is worth seeing. The hallways carpets are old, dirty and smelly. Most of the ice machine did not work. The rooms are very tight and... more

This was the only hotel available and now I know why. The lobby was very decieving... The hallways smelled bad. The elevator felt that it was going to drop. The niose at night was unbearable. The rooms were very tiny. The sheets were cheap! Everything in the bathroom felt like it was purchased at the dollar store. There is no... more

I've stayed in three Penticton hotels in the last three years. This one is comparable to the others, except that the location is about 4-6 blocks from the beach and the cost was the same as we've paid across from the beach. Stayed for four nights in a one bedroom suite. Problem was that I've stayed in the REALLY BIG... more

Traveling with a tour group of 4 motor coaches. YMT made all of our hotel reservations and I must say that this was the worse of all. By the way this hotel only has one washer and dryer for the entire place. We got a tiny room with one queen bed that you could touch the walls on either side... more

The hotel had been upgraded in the last couple of years and it shows. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The only thing they didn't update were the bathrooms (you'll see the pic). We checked in quite early and were very accommodating. The room we had booked was non-smoking but when we walked in it smelled... more

I have stayed at a number of Sandman Inns in interior British Columbia for business travel and the one at Penticton is by far the best. The staff are very friendly and helpful. For a budget traveller like me this is an ideal stop. The rooms are clean and the ones that are renovated are done very nicely. more

Please avoid it. Renovations were on going, the hotel is sad (at least), clean so so. The best surprise is Denny's beside it! Maybe Penticton has 5000 days per year of sun, however when it rains they lost their mind! When we left the hotel in the morning, it was raining (a very strong rain) and the hotel exits were... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Penticton Sandman over the May long weekend (one night). We chose it because it was the most reasonable price and included free breakfast and the hotel has a pool. The hotel is in the midst of major renovations, which are needed and will make the place much better, but it made for a... more
