The hotel was clean and for the most part quiet. The room had a kitchenette, which was great as it meant we could cut our costs by dining in our room a couple of nights. our room was clean and spacious. It had a electric fire, sofa, hairdryer, shower, TV and all that general stuff you could want. It also... more

Whistler was the fourth of six destinations on our Honeymoon to Canada. We drove there from Kamloops which took 4hrs. I really wish that we had booked to stay for more than 4 nights and had less nights in Vancouver. At first we found Whistler a little strange, a bit like Disney without the music. The place was very clean,... more

Having stayed at a Kimpton or two in the past, I booked this hotel based on its reputation and the price that I got through a reservation service. We just left there after a 5 night stay. I knew we were a little far from the slopes, but at first impression I liked what we saw - the lobby is... more

Whistler is expensive. We've stayed at a number of hotels that charge less than $200 per night and been less than enthusiastic. Sometimes the rooms are rundown; sometimes the neighbours are noisy; sometimes the hot tub is X-rated (not good for a family with a child). This time we were booking at the last minute so we accepted a hotel... more

WE stayed here for three nights in Sept 2007 and had a room on the second floor overlooking the small pool. Last year we stayed for two nights at about the same time and as far as we could tell our room was clean and spotless. This time, on first inspection our room seemed fine, but when we picked up our... more

My fiance stayed here on a 2 night trip Sept 14 and 15. We drove a few hours from WA state to get to Whistler, I've been there several times before, but have never stayed at the Summit. I was very impressed by the quality of the rooms, the fact that they allow pets (we should have brought our boxer... more

We won two nights at The Summit in a charity raffle. Kimpton hotels is a pet-friendly chain, but in their city hotels, I doubt that so many pets arrive on a daily basis. Whistler is a resort and there are lots of dogs in evidence. This means that even people who are mildly allergic to dog dander will be affected... more

For our third trip to Whistler we stayed several days at the Summit Lodge. The accommodations were just as requested (well, we had to convince the desk that we had reserved a room with at least a queen size bed, so the two twins they assigned us to initially didn't meet our expectations. However, we were quickly given a room... more

Stayed in February 2007 for one week skying in Whistler. Room was very confortable with small kitchen, frigo. Bathroom was Ok. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the Village Gondola that runs in opening hours. The breakfast is served in the restaurant next to the hotel (it is from the hotel I think). It is good but... more

The Summit has a great location within easy walking distance to the village. The rooms buffer noise very well as we found our room was extremely quiet. There were many travellers during our weekend there (hotel was sold out) but it was as if we were the only ones staying there (it was that quiet!). The beds were superb and... more
