Pretty much standard Travelodge fare really - rooms basic but comfortable & clean. Location is good, right in the city centre so handy for pubs and grub, Please note there is no parking at this hotel and you need to pay at the multi storey - cost me £4 overnight so not too bad really. As is the rule with... more

Having read some of the other reviews I was a bit nervous about going - but it was fine. Helpful staff, clean rooms; local area OK. Great value accommodation - would recommend to anyone who wanted cheap and central hotel room in Reading. Tony W more

Horrible - I couldn't wait to leave!! Yes it was cheap as chips - £15 for a family room - but the downside may be the people it attracts at this price. Twice we were woken by the next room with 'animal noises' and banging of the bed. This was also loud enough to wake my children who were scared... more

My boyfriend and I needed somewhere to stay in Reading on a Sunday night, and we booked this just the night before - for the incredibly cheap price of £15 for a double room. We were able to check in early, and the receptionist was pleasant, and provided an iron and ironing board on request. The room was ok, with... more

It may be cheap, but avoid if you can! The hotel itself is in poor condition and the rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. It also sits in a rather bad area in Reading - there appears to be a hostel for the homeless nearby and I witnessed a man urinating and a fight directly outside the hotel. The... more

Booked this room months ago and got it for 26GBP, paid an extra 7.50GBP for breakfast. Checkin took a minute and there was no trouble getting to my room. It was exactly the same as any other travelodge in any part of the UK. It had a bed, shower and toilet, towels were provided and a fan was available for... more

We stayed for 1 night at the Travelodge en route to Bath. We arrived quite late at night and had problems with the one way systems tho thats not the hotels fault. There wasn't any parking so we had to park in a multi storey nearby. It's £2 per night, then starts charging an hourly rate from 8am. We knew... more

I agree with Madcrazisandi9. This hotel was fine, and clean and comfortable. I have stayed in 4 star hotels shabbier than this, with much smaller and more uncomfortable beds. We had a kettle and t.v and clean sheets. The only downside was 1 bath towel for 2 of us but we survived. The staff we saw were friendly. it is... more

I have one thing to say to the people who complained about this hotel, have you ever heard of a Travelodge? Everybody knows that it is the basic accomodation you can get. I have just returned from my trip to Reading and it was great, I was visiting family so the travelodge was an ideal place to stay, right in... more

OK, I arrived frazzled after circling Reading's one way system for an hour before finding the hotel. The directions rely on street names which are hard to spot in the dark and the rain in the rush hour. Then had to double park, run into reception, wait for the receptionist to finish their personal telephone conversation on their mobile, to... more
