We broke our golden rule and did not look at Trip Advisor before booking but thought hotel looked good on website. It's an old hotel full of character but really grubby and smelt dirty despite the numerous plug in air fresheners. Lets start with what was good: bed very comfortable, staff extremely friendly and helpful, room small but quaint and in good condition. Handy for town centre. Food in restaurant reasonably good.
