This is a very pleasant hotel in a great location. On checking in, our room was upgraded from a standard double to a deluxe room. It was spacious and comfortable (Argyll) although the bathroom was a little stuffy as it had no windows and poor steam extraction - could have been a problem if had been hotter. The hair drier... more

We booked the Dukes for 1 night and had a room for 3 on the top floor. As we checked in early we left our suitcases and left to look around Bath ( which we absolutely loved). It was pleasant to find on our return all 4 suitcases had been taken up the 6 flights of stairs to our room!... more

The staff are lovely, and the rooms are very pleasant, if slightly too full of furniture.............and its a fabulous location - however, our room was on the main road and the room was really hot - windows open (or even shut!) it was very noisy with traffic. See if you can get a quieter room. Weather was bad so we... more

My husband and I planned a treat for ourselves a while ago for the May bank holiday. We have had many weekend breaks in Bath before. We love the city, and also we love many of the nice small hotels in Bath. Generally, we stay in Aspley house, but this time we thought to try somewhere new. We booked Duke... more

My husband, son and I stayed at Dukes recently. We stayed in a suite on the top floor. The room had stained, filthy carpet and stained upholstery on the chairs. To top it off, when we checked in, the bathroom toilet had a poop in it (clearly not a good maid service!). The decor was nothing special and the furniture... more

The Suite reserved was among those bedrooms which have recently undergone a complete refurbishment. The bedroom carpet shows no sign of staining, wear or tear. Its "Berber" loop pile has the characteristic of having random specks of colour leading the eye into believing to the contrary. The dressing table had been damaged, but has since been repaired to standard. The accompanying chair...

We have spent years trying to find the perfect hotel in Bath, where we spend a week each Spring at the Music Festival. The Dukes Hotel is it! This year was our third stay and we love it more each year. The location is excellent; the rooms are well appointed and hospital clean, and the staff is charming. In particular,... more

I stayed here in June with my boyfriend and I booked this place based on the reviews I had read on trip advisor. This was a romantic getaway for 2 nights and I wanted everything to be perfect. The first night we did encounter some problems, just because the room faced the main street and it was very noisy with... more

We booked the hotel quite late in the day and went for a standard double room for two nights. On arrive we where given an upgrade to a suite which was unexpected but very welcome. The rooms where very well decorated and very much in keeping with the Georgian building it’s self. Everyone from the hotel we came into contact... more

I booked the restaurant for a private work function in April and our hometeam stayed overnight. The hotel is perfectly located in the City Centre, 5 mins from the shops but in a quiet location. Limited parking is available outside the hotel but the staff will be able to give you a resident's permit if you ask. The rooms are... more
