If you prefer Holiday Inn, then this hotel will no be for you. The manager, Ida is a real mother hen and really cares about all her guests and will make sure your stay is enjoyable. The hotel is old and sometimes things break but I have been going back for years now and it has become a home away... more

This old hotel was at sometime in the past a lovely place, with a lovely garden stretching out for acres behind the hotel.However we visited it recently, and were given the Blackbird room, chintzy!, small, with no cold running water, we were handed a bottle of fizzy water to wash out teeth with and to make tea in the room!..... more
