We stayed here for a saturday night. Initially all seemed ok, nice room etc although the welcome was quite abrupt.. the biggest complaint was very very loud music from a beerfest at the hotel which went on until very late. We rang down to reception but the phone wasnt answered. The breakfast was disappointing, limited choice etc. I emailed my... more

In general this place is not welcoming, not properly overseen, and a bit dodgy in general. From the beginning this was not a good experience. The owner was never around and even difficult to find during the morning and day. What little interaction I had with him was not pleasant. The phone did not work in the room and there... more

Having read the previous reviews only after I had already booked this hotel, I entered in trepidation. Apparently the owners have gotten the message. It was a wonderful experience. I was freely upgraded to a larger room with fresh flowers. They provided helpful tips about exploring the city. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with numerous choices. In short, give it... more

Stratford on Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace and a wonderful monument to his life and work, may be a beacon in the British tourist itinerary, but getting half decent accommodation at a half decent price is impossible. Once again disppointment is the name of the game. Eastnor House is tired, cluttered, airless and mean. For £90 a night you get a room... more

We stayed at Eastnor House Hotel for two nights and can recommend it as a pleasant place to be based whilst visiting Stratford-upon-Avon. It is very conveniently located, being less than a ten minute walk to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Our room was very clean and well furnished, and although the bathroom was very small and not new, it was... more

I have just recently returned from the Eastnor hotel with my family. We had 2 rooms booked, numbers 8 & 9. I could not really faulty the rooms as they were extremely large and fairly clean. When we first arrived I was surprised to find a mini bar in the room as you only usually find these in the larger... more

The england flag drooping in the front garden two months after the world cup should have warned us what to expect. We had the downstairs bed rooms, and the weekend's dirty sheets and towels were left outside our door all the time we were there, with a put -up bed and vacuum cleaner as well. The hall and porch needed... more

My husband, mother-in-law, and myself spent 10 days in England. We stayed at the Eastnor house for 2 days on July 5 and 6. We were fortunate because all of the other hotels and B&B were either full or extremely expensive. We paid 100 pounds for our room. At first look, the B&B had multiple rooms, a bar, and breakfast... more

My husband and I stayed in the Eastnor House for one night during a 2-week visit to the U.K. in June and July. The hotel's website, other reviews, and the relatively high price had led us to expect a modestly elegant hotel. Not so. This place was a complete dump! If we hadn't arrived so late in the day, we... more

Of all the places we stayed over two weeks in the UK, the Eastnor House was the most expensive and (by far) the least pleasant. Although the proximity to the touristy part of Stratford-upon-Avon was good (5 minute walk), the actual location was terrible in that it's on a very busy road. Motor cycles and drunken, late-night revelers interrupted our... more
