The setting is idylic and the views are spectacular. The food is consistantly outstanding and the house is comfortable and elegant. Down by the hotel we explored the beautiful river and enjoyed walking across the fields. The gym and spa facilities are excellent and the bed was very comfortable. This was our third stay and our second Christmas here and we were thoroughly impressed. No particular aspect stands out; everything was consistently good. The previous year we had Christmas dinner there and that was very enjoyable without having a "holiday camp" feel to the place.
