The hotel is ideally situated close to the city centre of Inverness. In less that 5 minutes you can walk over the river to the main shopping centre. Although located very close to the city centre it still has very picturesque surroundings as it is right in front of the river and the castle which is lit up at night.... more

Booked on a 2 night B&B special late deal. £94 per night. Asked for quiet room with river view, got neither. Floor of room above creaked constantly and noise from corridor, lift & other rooms made for rather a disappointing stay. View was of block of flats across the street. Public areas are well appointed, but rooms, lift and spa... more

I stayed here for two weeks in September 2008, through my work. The Hotel itself is nice enough and the location is great. It is right on the riverfront in Inverness and has some fantastic views of the Castle. I found the staff were ok but lacking in 'spark' - maybe it was just that it was nearly the end... more

Stayed here as part of a tour group. You can't beat the location--right on the river and only a couple of blocks over the bridge into city center. Room was large enough to accomodate a king size bed and a rollaway with lots of space to spare. Lobby area and restaurant were nice--breakfast was a hearty treat. Staff was attentive... more

We decided to have a long weekend in Inverness and chose the Palace because it was centrally located for the city but also had car parking. This is a clean and well maintained 'high-end' 3 star hotel. We booked an executive room and this was a large and confortable room with a superking size bed. It also had lovely views... more

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour of gardens of the Highlands, so we had no choice in choosing it. It turned out to be well located, right on the river across from Inverness Castle and only a couple of minutes from the town centre on the other bank. Our twin room was at the rear... more

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend break deal with dinner included one night. The Hotel is well located within 2/3 minutes walk of the centre / shops. The Hotel appears to be well staffed (in terms of numbers), all of whom we found very pleasant and helpful. The room was large & very clean. We stayed in... more

We booked with this hotel directly, for a party of 50 people. We had stayed previously at the hotel some years ago before it became a Best Western and it was pretty good then. The hotel is situated very well for the city centre and looks out directly over the river. The staff were very good and couldn't be more... more

We were looking for somewhere for some rest and relaxation without having to pay and arm and a leg and found this hotel hard to beat on location (right next to the river and 2 minutes from the shops and restaurants but nice and quiet) excellent service, comfort or value for money. It is an old hotel with bags of... more

Brilliant location in Inverness - right by the river with lots of bars and restaurants nearby and a view of the courthouse which looks like a Castle! The hotel was great - lovely room and bathroom, great service from the staff and one of the best breakfasts we'd had at a hotel! Would definitely stay here again. more
