having been to Nidd hall about 2 years ago when we found the experance very enjoyable ,we decided to return expecting standards to have slumped a little , how ever we where delighted to discover it has even improved ,the standard of food in the restaurant was faultless.the waiter attentive . We also enjoyed the entertainment although through unforseen circumstances... more

Having read some of the reviews on this hotel after we booked, I was worried. My worries proved completely unfounded. We had a Royale room which was fantastic, views over the gardens, big and comfortable. The hotel was spotless, the staff helpful and the service, particularly in the restaurant excellent. Entertainment was OK. Lots of activities if you want them,... more

If you look at Warner's brochure, or view the promotional dvd on display at Nidd Hall, you are given the impression that all resorts/hotels are filled with people of about 45 to 50, fit, healthy and permanently grinning. The reality is totally different. I'm 50, and have just returned from a four night stay. The place was full, and I... more

I've just returned from Nidd Hall after celebrating my Mum's birthday there with the rest of my family. At 31 years "young" I was extremely nervous at the prospect of spending four days of my life at a "holiday camp", being awoken with constant Hi-De-Hi's and surrounded by zimmer frames - well, that was the impression I had from reading... more

Originally booked a 2 night stay but left after 2 hours. Room was dirty, cobwebs and dust everywhere. There were also other people complaining at the same time as us about the smell in their room. We complained and were offered a full refund. The hotel was full of pensioners coming in bus loads. Would never go back more

We booked 3 nights at Nidd Hall at the end of February and ended up staying for only one night as we were so disappointed. Nidd Hall is has more of a Hi-De-Hi experience than an exclusive, fairly up-market hotel. At 4 PM on the first day we were given an introduction to the hotel which just went to reinforce... more

My wife and I recently stayed at NIdd Hall. The welcome was great, the room was delightful and the food was superb. We had a two day midweek break. The staff were excellent and the service second to none. It was an ideal base for visiting local attractions and we took the chance to visit York about half an hour... more

We have just returned from a 3 night break at Nidd Hall We stayed last year and were looking forward to our break especially seeing the resident band Freeway again as they are excellent. Unfortunately we had a disco instead (Must remember to go during the week when Freeway are performing) this was not made clear at the time of... more

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Nidd Hall 8-11 Feb 2008 and the entertainment (Sounds of the 4 Tops band, comedian, singers, in-house entertainment) was very good. Ambassador room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable . There was tuition available in salsa dancing, line dancing, archery, and rifle shooting in addition to use of the lovely indoor pool,... more
