Stayed here August '08, really nice place, yes its basic but what more do you expect from a 2 star. The owner was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Great location 30 seconds walk from la place de comedie and 5 mins walk from train station. would definitley stay here again more
My first thought was "this is very European" (read: Spartan, small, no frills). The bathroom smelled strong of mildew, but when I mentioned it they sprayed for the odor. The carpet might not have been updated in a number of years. So it was Spartan, but it was more because of the staff and I warmed up to the Hotel... more
I agree with the previous review, the room was an eccentric layout but that added to the charm, was very clean and quiet, best thing was the location. It is value for money in an expensive city, but if the threw breakfast in as well would go up a notch, IMHO. more
Our room was oddly-shaped (!) but was clean and had all the necessaries including AC. Well-located - not far from the main rail station and within seconds of the Place de la Comedie. Ideal for anyone who just needs something clean, safe and cheap. There was a noisy bar next door to the hotel but somehow it did not disturb... more
