Eighteen golfers stayed here during the last week of April 2008. Some would have liked single rooms but the supplement was double the sharing rate, very expensive. The rooms were adequate if somewhat small. We were playing golf around mid-day each day so breakfast was around 8.30- 9 am. It was a a bit of an ordeal as cutlery and... more
Stayed here for a short break in Jan and the hotel was nice, however it was really more for business use. The town is a 15minute walk so was ok during the day but when heading out for dinner always had to get a taxi, which was not ideal. The room was clean and pleasant but nothing outstanding. If visiting... more
The Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the old town and its attractions. The staff were very helpful. The room was really nice and the bathroom fantastic with every extra you could imagine. We stayed for three nights and had a fabulous time. The breakfast was plentiful with both hot and cold buffet. The hotel bar prices were... more
We booked two rooms at Melia Girona, the rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is located 15mins from Girona airport and just around an easy 15 minute walk into the old town which is very pleasant. We had bar food one night and room service the other - both were of good quality and reasonable value. The breakfast was... more
We stayed for one night on our way from southern Spain to Nice. I booked via the hotel and was charged 80 euros. I asked for a roll out bed and cot in addition for our two small children. They said it would not leave us much space but accomodated the request. When we got to the hotel we could... more
This is such a comfortable hotel and we recommend it unreservedly. Reception staff were welcoming and efficient. The rooms are recently refurbished, newly carpeted, beds (well, the one we had) 3m. wide, and we were offered different kinds of pillows - goose down, feather, or duck down - for our comfort preference. Tea and coffee tray, two armchairs and table,... more
Yes, it is a bit of a walk into the centre. About 25 minutes if you stroll 400 metres along the main road (Calle Barcelona) and turn right through the park towards the river, a little less if you go straight up past the railway station. As it happens we were using the trains for day trips to the Dali... more
My wife and I are just back from a weekend break in Girona during which we stayed at the Meliá for one night. The hotel is located on the airport side of the city next to the huge "El Corte Inglés" store. Unlike many of the city centre hotels, the Meliá has parking and would be ideal for those travelling... more
Even if the hotel is a bit far from the old town, it is very easy to get to by car or walking from the train station. The staff at the front desk were exceptionnal with help. The room was great, good AC, clean and quiet. Great spa center to relax at the end of the day. more
