I made a reservation at this hotel based on the reviews at Trip Advisor...but I would like to warn people that this hotel is not as nice as the reviews state. When I arrived, I entered an outdated interior and was greeted by an extremely rude woman (I speak Italian fairly well and could understand her off-color comments more than... more

What a cute little hotel. I must say, in most of these areas, five star hotels are hard to come by. But this place was clean and the staff were super friendly. They gave us advice on where to eat, and their english was fab! Our room and bathroom was spotless and spacious. The linen and decor was outdated, but... more

This is a hotel that provides simple comforts of a family run hotel. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach along the Cinque Terre coast. The hotel is close to the quieter end of the beaches in Monterosso. It is also quiet as well, which is important if you're gearing up to do the hike the next day and... more

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff helped with anything they could and really put themseleves out for what ever you needed. The rooms are very very small but you dont spend much time in them as the area is so beautiful. the breakfast is quite niice and the setting where you can sit outside and have... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel 5 Terre, May 31 & June 1. The hotel is located about 2 blocks from the train station so we just pulled our luggage to the hotel. It's located just up from the beach in the "new part" of town. The breakfast buffet was great, a big selection of food and one... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel 5 Terre during May, 2008. We found the hotel to be convenient, clean, confortable and well operated. The staff were particularily friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we encountered in Italy and was included in the room charge. There is a large well appointed dining area with a... more

This hotel was booked for us as part of our Cinque Terre walking holiday and it was fantastic. Family run, very friendly and helpful staff and had a great atmosphere. Rooms were adequate, not overly large or small. Shower was small, but good pressure and temperature. Very clean and tidy. No aircon, but fans and doors that opened onto patios... more

From the moment we arrived we treated with warmth and friendliness they just made us welcome after a long drive along the back roads from Firenze (take the motorway is my advise). They offered us the car park at the back of the Hotel which was empty and took our bags up to the 3rd floor room. The room had... more

This hotel is not in Rick Steves' book (which I recommend getting), but was a great choice. It does not have AC (that we knew of), but the windows opened, which was nice. The included breakfast was really good. This hotel is cash only, but ATM's were not hard to find in Monterosso. Also, if you have an early train,... more
