Booked thru www.europeandestinations.com WE loved this hotel. Unlike many european hotels that have small rooms and even smaller bathrooms, the rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were huge (compared to other hotels in europe). We were walking distance to the train stations, the Duomo, the street vendors and the museum with David (Galleria dell'Accademia). We had great views from the... more

First off let me say that the location was very good - almost right next to the Duomo and the room sizes were fairly good ..... They were the positives. Negatives (you may want to get some popcorn) The view we had from room 507 / 508 (can't exactly remember which number now) was that of a wall, and not... more

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Premier Hotel Laurus in November 2007 for two days. We loved the hotel and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying there. The location is great, we didn't have to use public transport at all, and could easily cover all the main attractions in Florence by foot. It is literally... more

Just perfect for a city break when , in my view, you need comfort, convenience, value above other needs. We stayed 3 days over a long weekend. Great location between train/bus station and Duomo/shopping centre. 5 mins walk from station, 2 mins to Duomo, 10 mins walk to river. Spotless room in recently refurbished modern hotel. Comfy kingsize bed (2... more

I was in Florence for a couple of nights to celebrate my birthday with three other friends (previously we spent two wonderful nights in Lucca) over New Year and had a wonderful time. The hotel was such a lovely surprise; near to the railways station (6 mins by foot) and the Duomo and main square 1 minute away - I... more

Excellent location, walking to distance to all major attractions and train station. Rooms seemed to have been renovated as they looked fresh and new. Good value for money given the location and quality of rooms. However, I find the service of the front desk staff at best average. more

An excellent hotel with a great location. It was competitively priced and offered all we wanted. We were within walking distance of everything in the city, and it was very handy to drop off shopping or relax during the day if necessary! We found Florence a very safe city to walk around, even late at night. In a few days... more

The Best Western Hotel Laurus in Florence was a very nice hotel. It reminded me the most of an American hotel of all the hotels I stayed in Italy, and that wasn't a terrible thing. There is a cute little cafe off the lobby and they had lots of good food. The rooftop terrace had a wonderful view and happy... more

My wife & I spent 3 nights at the Laurus. The hotel must have been refurbished recently, overall it looked fresh, clean and up-to-date. We had a room with a street view on the 3rd floor with a nice view of the city. The double windows do an excellent job of insulating the room from the street noise. The bathroom... more
