I just came back from a 10 day stay at the Palazzo dei Ciompi and had a wonderful stay. I am a single woman in my 50's, and stayed in a one bedroom apartment. If you want a typical tourist view of Florence, with a 24 hour concierge on call, I would not recommend this place for you. But if... more

We stayed here with our 2 boys aged 8 & 13. We all loved the apartment for its size & beautiful high ceilings even though the boys were sharing the double pull out sofa bed.. We had just stayed in a tiny apartment in Rome so this seemed huge. Even the bathroom felt bigger than our whole Rome apartment! Reception... more

Rented an apartment here for 2 days in Florence. Upon arrival, we noted that the property was not in the best neighborhood and surrounded by bums. Upon entry into the apartment, we noted a distinctive musky smell. Eventually, one family member began having an allergic reaction. I asked the hotel for a refund due to the room being unacceptable. They... more

MSNSUITES Palazzo dei Ciompi is a property for those who want to feel part of the florentine city life being located in one of the most traditional and pictoresque part of the city center (for that sometimes resulting a bit cahotic) very close to Santa Croce Square and Uffizi Gallery. It is a very ancient palace dating back from 16°...

A group of 7 of us have just returned from a trip to Florence staying at these apartments, booked through Ryan Air's website. The apartment is very well situated in Florence, overlooking a Piazza and within 15 minute walk of all the major sites. The apartment was huge, with a large lounge/diner, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms (one of these was... more

We booked the Dante Apartment 4 months in advance and upon further review, were not sure of our decision. While there were minor issues during our stay, overall we loved the experience. We loved the spaciousness and the feeling of being in a less touristy area. The Sant Ambroigio mercato was close by and the interesting shops and bakeries in... more

We had booked the Palazzo back in December for a March trip through Hotels.com. My wife and I were making our first trip to Florence (but not our first to Italy) and were bringing our 15 yr old grandson along. We were looking for a place with a little more room than the typical Italian hotel room. A week before... more

I stayed here with my family of 4 - kids aged 9 and 11 in June. The apartments are really quite nice although there are teething problems with inadequate electrical outlets and water pressure. Also funny smells from the drains now and again. The air conditioning is just OK. When we booked we were told that our 2BR 2BA apartment... more

Stayed in the "Bruneleschi" room in Nov 2006. European apartment style with lots of space (separtate bedroom, living area with kitchenette & dining table, large bathroom with shower). Rooms have all the necessary stuff with plenty of hot water, pull-out couch, small cable TV with CNN, decent towels & linens. Some units can accomidate six and some have priceless views.... more

We made a mistake when booking and after reading some of the issues with management I was concerned we would be homeless on the last night. But, the manager accomodated us for 3 nights in the Lorenzo the Magnifico apartment. It is a 2 storey apartment. The main floor has a living room/kitchen with a sofabed. There is one small... more

We stayed at this "aparthotel" during our stay in Florence. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary, and I did much research on apartments and hotels as this was a very special trip for us. I booked this hotel on Expedia. The room had a terrace listed in the description. I really wanted a terrace which was my main reason... more
