The area around the Hotel is not the best you can find around Florence: very flat, nearly no views and in vicinity of river Arno (short distance from the famous Villa La Massa). This brand new five star hotel offer tranquillity and good hospitality, but reveals several negative situations. No valet service, formal but not friendly staff at front desk,... more

My husband and I traveled to Italy this summer and stayed in a number of hotels and villas and the Olmi was, by far, the nicest place we stayed. We stayed in a Junior Suite that was decorated beautifully with fine linens and a canopy bed. The rooms were very clean and up to date. While we did not eat... more

I stayed at the Villa Olmi for 2 nights with a group of colleagues. The hotel is outside Florence, about a 15 mins bus ride. The hotel has shuttle buses that take you to the centre of Florence (to the Ponte Veccho bridge) but service is limited to the mornings and evenings (till 10.30am and from 6pm in evening). Trying... more

Villa olmi is a wonderful property away from the noise of the city. We stayed in a junior suite with a nice garden. I highly recommend this property if you plan to visit the tuscany area as well as the city of florence. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus but there is only a few in the morning and... more

My wife and I stayed two nights at Villa Olmi at the start of a two-week trip to Italy and thought it is a perfect place to stay if you want a high-end, beautiful hotel close to - but not in - Florence. First of all, being a restored villa, the property itself - the architecture, decor and landscaping -... more

This property is beautiful. The artwork in the hotel is better then most museums. The hotel is 10 minutes from city center. However, its a good thing. The downtown area is really loud and the hotels are on the crapy side. Yes, even the nicer ones are crapy. Villa Olmi is amazing! The hotel has a large pool with lounges,... more

If you want stunning accommodation just 10 minutes away from the centre of Florence, this new resort could be just what you are looking for. This hotel is made up of three beautifully restored buildings each of which has its own charms. The villa particularly is simply amazing - you could fill a few days just looking around the resort... more

April 2007 Must husband and I recently returned from a trip to Italy. One of the highlights of our trips was the charming and elegant Villa Olmi Resort just outside of the crush of Florence. It is within 10 minutes of downtown Florence and the Villa provides a shuttle bus for its guests. This 5 star hotel surpassed our expectations.... more

You just have to see it to believe it at the Villa Olmi. The Villa has a WOW factor like you would never believe. I stayed in the main hotel, the rooms are quite plain, but are very well equiped and the beds are very comfy. I would recommend a view over the garden and swimming pool. The lounge is... more

I stayed here on New Year's Day with my boyfriend. I loved this place so much! Staff was friendly and professional at the reception as well as at restaurant and bar; dinner was great, we ate a lot of good things....maybe breakfast could be improved, few things to eat / drink and the hottest cappuccino I've ever had! Our room... more
