A good solid hotel in central Pisa. The room was comfortable but basic - fine as a base for exploring the town - but not really a place to hang around and relax. The hotel is in a beautiful old building that has been well maintained and has some lovely period features and decorations. Breakfast was also solid without being... more

We stayed in this hotel on 2 occasions during a week and were very, very pleased with it. The building is magnificent and the location perfect. The (cheapest) rooms we stayed in were basic, but clean and comfortable. But who wants to stay in the room when there is four exciting floors to explore, not to mention the roof-terrace... The... more

This hotel was built in the late 1800's and it is like walking back in history. The Royal Victoria was a quite a suprise. The staff is above average, always accomaditing from the front desk to the service personal serving late night nibbles and wine on a hidden terrece. We were able to see the space station gliding across the... more

I loved this hotel for its authenticity; it is like something from a movie set. The tiled floors, furnishings and sheer scale of the rooms and hallways are a delight for those who want to feel like they are really in Italy -or Italy 40 years ago! We stayed for two nights and found the staff helpful and polite with... more

Our spring trip to Pisa was at the Royal Victoria. And it was a lovely experience, apart from some road noise during the night! But it is on a main road, so what can I complain about!! The room had high celings and high windows leading out to a balcony. The furniture was antique in style but all looked good.... more

We booked this hotel for our one night in Pisa through hotels.com before departing back to the UK. My husband said it was the best we stayed in during our trip to Italy and it certainly has a great colonial charm. The rooms were large and the decor of the hotel very appealing. The downsides for me was the lack... more

Got a suite for 145 Euro at the airport. This hotel is v old and it's a bit like staying in a museum with lovely old halls, rooms and artifacts. It is not air conditioned, but with 20 foot ceilings and fans it's OK. The decor & furniture are old and a bit worn, but for us was part of... more

This hotel is listed as the oldest in Pisa, historical and quaint. It is the oldest and most likely the most basic. The rooms are very large by European stanards and we did have two connecting rooms. The decor was very plain, a few antiques scattered aound. Peeling paint and torn screens. Dead pigeon on the windowsill across the alley... more

Stayed here with my other half in June 2008 and it was the most disappointing hotel of our holiday. Entrance looked promising but there was a problem with our room so we were down graded to a standard. Yes the hotel is old but quaint...not so much. Paint peeling off walls, air con so loud I could barely concentrate, shower... more

We stayed for 1 night concluding our trip in Tuscany and Sicily. I booked this hotel because we needed to catch our flight from Pisa back to New York and our stay was going to be for just 1 brief night. The hotel was extremely old and if it is ever renovated it has the potential to be very beautiful.... more
